Frontend Engineer

Who We Need

Rillet is redefining how finance and accounting teams work, and the frontend is how they experience that every day. As a Frontend Engineer, you'll shape the interfaces that finance professionals rely on to run their business, working closely with our CTO, product, and design to build intuitive, high-performance software that sets a new bar for what ERP can look like.

We're an AI-native company, and we expect our engineers to bring that same mindset to how they work. If you're energized by using AI to move faster and solve problems differently, you'll fit right in.

We're looking for teammates within commutable distance of our NYC or San Francisco offices (or willing to relocate). Team members work in-office Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus one additional flexible day.

What You'll Do

• Build and own high-performance frontend features across Rillet's product, from component design to production.

• Partner with product and design to translate complex financial workflows into intuitive, elegant interfaces.

• Contribute to frontend architecture decisions and help raise the technical bar across the team.

• Champion frontend quality through testing, performance optimization, and accessible, reliable releases.

Who We're Looking For

• 5+ years of frontend engineering experience with a track record of shipping polished, production-grade interfaces

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Svelte (or modern frontend frameworks)

• Solid grasp of CSS architecture, responsive design, and frontend performance

• Actively incorporates AI tools into your day-to-day workflow, not just as a productivity shortcut but as a way to tackle problems differently

• Strong product instincts and a habit of thinking about user impact, not just technical correctness

• Energized by building in a fast-moving environment where great design and great engineering go hand in hand

Bonus Points

• Experience building interfaces for power users or highly technical end users

• Background in fintech, ERP, or accounting software

• Familiarity with GraphQL or RESTful API design

• Experience with design systems or component library development
