Senior Frontend Engineer

Cross-Platform Applications

• React web application serving millions of patient consultations

• Native iOS app (Swift) and Android app (Kotlin) for optimal performance

• Embeddable web product for partner healthcare systems

• Shared component libraries and design systems across platforms

Patient Experience

• Real-time chat interfaces for AI doctor consultations

• Medical data visualization (symptoms, medications, health records)

• Video/voice consultation interfaces integrated with telehealth systems

• Onboarding flows handling identity verification and insurance intake

Healthcare Data UI

• Complex forms for medical history, medications, insurance information

• EHR data display with FHIR-compliant structures

• Document generation and PDF rendering for clinical notes

• Multi-language support for global accessibility

Performance & Accessibility

• Sub-second load times for critical patient interactions

• Offline-first architecture for unreliable connections

• WCAG compliance for healthcare accessibility requirements

• HIPAA-compliant data handling in frontend applications

You'll also work on AI response streaming, rich text medical documentation, prescription management interfaces, and the foundation for voice/video AI avatars.

• Engineering-first org: no project managers, just senior engineers

• Flat structure with direct CEO reporting and high autonomy

• Own features end-to-end from minimal specs to production

• AI coding tools encouraged

• Ship fast with good judgment; daily standups for alignment, not micromanagement

Education & Background

• CS degree OR equivalent demonstrated expertise

• Related technical degrees welcomed with strong programming foundation

• Preference for graduates from top programs at top universities

• Preference for founders, founding engineers, or extensive startup experience

• Independent problem solver who collaborates well cross-functionally

Technical Expertise

• 5+ years frontend engineering with expertise in React

• Production React web applications at scale

• Native mobile development (Swift for iOS and/or Kotlin for Android)

• Modern JavaScript/TypeScript, state management (Redux, Context)

• RESTful API integration and real-time data handling

• Responsive design and cross-browser compatibility

Design & UX

• Strong UI/UX sensibility for healthcare applications

• Component-based architecture and reusable design systems

• Performance optimization for web and mobile

• Accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles

• Applications for healthcare, fintech, or regulated industries

• HIPAA compliance requirements for frontend applications

• Real-time chat or messaging interfaces at scale

• Video/voice communication integration (WebRTC, native APIs)

• Embeddable widget or SDK development

• Healthcare workflows, patient portals, or medical applications

• Seed/Series A experience in healthcare or technology

• Advanced degree in CS, HCI, or related field
