As a large and forward-thinking organization, we're continuously taking on new and exciting projects - and we're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to help shape and drive these initiatives. In this role, you'll be focused on building world-class web experiences using modern technologies. With expertise in front-end engineering and a collaborative approach, you'll work across teams, influence product strategy, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our customer-facing platforms at scale.
What you'll do as a Senior Frontend Engineer
- Develop cutting-edge, responsive web applications that power DraftKings' player-facing experiences using React, Remix, and Node.js.
- Architect and implement high-performance solutions that enhance real-time interactions across sports betting, fantasy sports, and iGaming platforms.
- Drive technical direction and frontend architecture decisions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability across projects.
- Play a key role in sprint planning, story breakdown, and estimating engineering effort in an Agile development environment.
- Partner with QA and DevOps on building robust CI/CD pipelines and test automation strategies for front-end applications.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement, contribute to continuous refactoring, and reduce technical debt.
- Stay current with industry trends in front-end engineering and bring innovative tools and approaches to the team.
What you'll bring
- 3+ years of experience in building modern, high-performance web applications using React, Remix, and Node.js
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, frontend architecture, component-driven design, and SSR/CSR strategies.
- Strong understanding of RESTful and GraphQL APIs with an eye toward performance and security.
- Knowledge of state management patterns (e.g., Redux) and familiarity with modern React paradigms like hooks and server components.
- A passion for delivering accessible, responsive, and pixel-perfect UIs across a wide range of devices and browsers.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- A user-first mindset with a strong understanding of product-driven development and data-informed decision-making.
