You'll act as the technical driver of this space, working hand in hand with Marketing and other internal stakeholders, while collaborating regularly with our international engineering teams across Europe. We're looking for someone who thrives on solving real problems for real customers, who's comfortable owning frontend architecture end-to-end, and who's flexible enough to jump into different areas of the business as needed.
Your focus will be primarily Frontend, but if you have an interest in Backend or a Fullstack mindset, that's a big plus.
🧠 What you’ll do
- Collaborate internationally: Work closely with Octopus Energy ES and various global teams to develop and integrate new features.
- Own key product modules: Contribute directly to the private area, bill management, saving sessions, customer onboarding optimization, and marketing dashboards, all from a frontend perspective.
- Drive fast-paced impact: Deliver code that directly impacts customers. Our priorities adapt to real-world needs, meaning the pace is fast and the feedback cycle is satisfyingly quick.
- Thrive in an agile culture: Enjoy flat hierarchies and an open environment that fosters innovation, flexibility, and creativity.
- Stay flexible: Be open to working across different areas of the business as priorities evolve, and optionally get involved in backend-related work (Python/Django, GraphQL) if you have the interest and skills to do so.
The Octopus Energy tech team is responsible for the sites, services, and tariffs used by millions of customers worldwide. From building cutting-edge time-of-use tariffs to gamifying user experiences, we tackle a wide variety of exciting challenges to push the energy revolution forward.
Our teams are multi-disciplined and collaborate internationally, meaning you'll have the support and resources to work with top-tier talent and deliver high-impact global solutions.
