We need someone to work along-side the Cloud Apps team, supporting our UI wielding petabytes of streaming data into visualizations and metrics of both real and simulated scenarios, aiding: management; debugging; and real-time monitoring of our Autonomous Vehicles (AVs).
You’ll be connecting the work of many disparate, international teams - ensuring their “day-to-day” goes by uninterrupted. You’ll be writing, and testing, in: React; TypeScript; and Vue.js in order to take stakeholder concepts from vague ideation, to the creation of great, responsive UIs with intuitive visualizations. This work will encompass every step of the journey of our AV fleets… from registration and software updates, to calibration, testing, and finally getting users into commercial rides.
What we want you to do
- Design, build, document, test, and maintain the AV fleets’ monitoring and data visualization platforms
- Monitor, support, and resolve issues as they arise in production
- Assist with high-level analysis, system design, and code reviews
- Communicate with stakeholders and team leads to identify system requirements
What we hope you’ll have
- 5+ years of working professionally delivering complex, high-performance web applications with modern JavaScript tooling(e.g. React, Vue.js, and TypeScript)
- A good eye for UI, UX, and responsive design
- Comfort taking projects from ideation through to completion, with strong communication and collaboration across multiple international teams
- Proficiency in designing and building UI components from scratch, in accordance with good practices
Bonus points for experience with
- Working in a globally distributed team
- Data visualization (Plotly, D3); video manipulation; WebSockets; 3D visualization tools (WebGL, Deck.gl/three.js, Mapbox)
- Serverless APIs tools such as: AWS; Docker; Terraform
- Python and/or Golang
