Senior Frontend Developer
As a Senior Frontend Developer at Awarri, you will play a key role in crafting user-centric, cutting-edge interfaces for web applications that support our groundbreaking AI and machine learning initiatives, including Language Models. Collaborating across teams, you will transform diverse requirements into intuitive, visually stunning, and performant user experiences.
This role demands proficiency in modern frontend technologies and a strong focus on designing interfaces that enhance interaction with complex AI-powered systems, enabling Awarri to drive innovation, inclusivity, and empowerment across Africa.
Responsibilities
- Frontend Development:
- Develop and maintain scalable, maintainable frontend architecture using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Implement responsive and accessible designs for a mobile-first audience.
- Integrate data visualization components and real-time interactive features to represent complex datasets.
- Leverage tools like D3.js, Three.js, or HTML Canvas API to build dynamic, engaging visualizations.
- Real-Time Communication:
- Implement real-time data exchange using WebSockets.
- API Integration:
- Collaborate with backend teams to define and integrate RESTful APIs for fetching and displaying dynamic content.
- Optimize data flow between the frontend and backend systems to ensure seamless user experiences.
- Code Quality and Performance:
- Write clean, modular, and maintainable code adhering to best practices such as DRY, SRP, and SOLID principles.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Optimize frontend performance for fast load times and cross-browser compatibility.
- Collaboration and Innovation:
- Work closely with UX designers using tools like Figma to translate wireframes and mockups into functional user interfaces.
- Collaborate with AI researchers, engineers, and stakeholders to design intuitive interactions for AI-powered features.
- Stay updated with the latest frontend trends, frameworks, and tools, applying them to solve unique challenges.
Your Experience
- Technical Expertise:
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience as a Frontend Developer, with a focus on React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Proficiency with UI libraries like Chakra UI, TailwindCSS, or MUI.
- Real-Time and API Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of RESTful API integration and design principles.
- Design and Collaboration:
- Familiarity with UX tools like Figma for translating designs into user interfaces.
- Experience in creating accessible, responsive, and mobile-first web applications.
- Code Quality and Best Practices:
- Knowledge of industry standards for frontend code quality and structure.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with strong communication skills for remote collaboration.
