ZALORA Engineering is seeking a full-time Senior Frontend Engineer to work on its high profile customer-facing products.
As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will work in a cross-functional team building out the personalization experience of our web platform. You will be working toward the mission of delivering a WOW experience to our customers. You will be hacking in TypeScript and leading frontend technologies.
We expect you to be passionate about merging usability with visual design and have a strong curiosity for exploring new digital technologies.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
- Develop innovative, efficient, user-friendly interface components for ZALORA's web applications.
- Optimize web applications' performance to minimize perceived loading time.
- Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to enhance usability.
- Own documentation and guidelines for front-end development at ZALORA.
- Build and maintain components with style guides and design systems in mind.
- Implement experiments and A/B tests to validate design changes.
- Ensure high-quality graphic standards and brand consistency.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies.
- Contribute to Zalora's Loyalty Program and Purchase Experience, focusing on the cart and checkout functionality.
- Work as part of a cross-functional team, collaborating with members from different technical domain knowledge areas to design and implement solutions.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- BS/MS in computer science or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in front-end web development.
- Experience with web development in both server-side and client-side rendered approaches.
- Proficient in TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Strong knowledge of web standards: e.g. HTML, CSS.
- Strong computer science fundamentals.
- Curiosity and a fast learner, eager to explore new technologies and understand how things work.
- Passionate and driven, taking ownership of projects and feeling pride in your work
