About the Client

Our client is dedicated to helping underserved and at-risk disabled individuals secure the disability benefits they qualify for. They focus on developing medical evidence and simplifying the process to improve the lives of those they serve. You will be working on an AI Document Generation product that supports this mission.

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Front-End Engineer to join our team and take a leading role in developing an AI-powered Document Generation product. You will collaborate with various teams to build innovative user-facing features and translate complex designs into efficient and reusable code. You’ll also lead development efforts, mentor junior developers, and ensure that your work aligns with best practices for performance and accessibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of user-facing features.

• Translate intricate designs and wireframes into high-quality, reusable, and efficient code.

• Optimize components for peak performance across diverse web-capable devices and browsers.

• Collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

• Conduct code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and maintaining code quality.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed features.

• Make day-to-day engineering decisions based on complex business requirements and contexts.

What You Need to Succeed in This Role

• 5+ years of experience in frontend development.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.

• Deep understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as Next.js/React or Nuxt.js/Vue and their core principles.

• Familiarity with EcmaScript (ES6+) and newer specifications.

• Strong knowledge of CSS (Flexbox, Grid) and modern CSS frameworks like Tailwind (preferred), Bootstrap or Material-UI.

• Experience with frontend build tools like Webpack, Vite, esbuild, tsc, and SWC.

• Proven problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a strong grasp of UX and design principles.

• Leadership skills and experience mentoring junior developers.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with front-end testing frameworks like Vitest, Jest, Mocha, or Jasmine.

• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or tRPC.

• Familiarity with Tanstack Query (knowledge of Tanstack Table is a plus).

• Experience with server-side rendering techniques and frameworks like Next.js or Remix.

• Knowledge of performance testing frameworks like Lighthouse or Webpagetest.

• Experience with CI/CD tools and containerization technologies like Docker.

• Understanding of accessibility (a11y) best practices.

• Experience with responsive design and developing for multiple devices and layouts.

• Familiarity with design systems and tools like Storybook.

• Experience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
