Role Overview
As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will architect and deliver high-quality frontend solutions while spearheading our transition toward an AI Development Lifecycle (AIDLC). You will deeply integrate AI-enabled tools, agents, and workflows into every phase of frontend development. This role involves close collaboration with designers, backend engineers, product managers, and marketing teams to build user-centric experiences that drive conversion, measurable analytics, and meaningful business impact.
Responsibilities
Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Gemini…) to accelerate frontend development, enhance code quality, and streamline UI/UX design workflows
Review AI-generated code for security, accessibility, performance, and architectural fit; establish safe AI workflows and best practices across the team
Design and implement scalable frontend architecture using React/Next.js; optimize for Core Web Vitals, SEO, and user experience
Architect systematic GA4/GTM event tracking and data layer design; move beyond page-level tracking to reusable, maintainable event schemas
Work with product and marketing teams on requirement discussions, cross-team integration, conversion optimization, and user success
Troubleshoot and debug complex frontend issues; identify root causes and implement effective, scalable solutions
Enhance development and deployment processes; automate frontend testing, builds, and release pipelines to improve efficiency and reliability
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent industry experience
3+ years professional frontend development with demonstrated success building production systems
Deep proficiency in React/Next.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript (ES6+, async patterns, state management)
Demonstrated success in adopting an AI development lifecycle (AIDLC) to scale output while maintaining strict quality and architectural standards
HTML/CSS mastery—rendering performance, accessibility (WCAG), responsive design, Core Web Vitals optimization
Proficiency with version control (Git) and CI/CD processes; comfortable with GitHub Actions or similar automation
API integration fundamentals—REST and GraphQL; experience with WPGraphQL a plus
Nice-to-Have
Testing frameworks and best practices—Jest, Cypress/Playwright, E2E testing
Backend language familiarity (Node.js, Python, PHP) or experience debugging API interactions
Experience with containerization (Docker) and deployment awareness
SEO expertise and familiarity with SEO tools (Google Search Console, Lighthouse, Semrush…)
Familiarity with WordPress ecosystem (themes, plugins, PHP concepts) or willingness to learn using AI tools independently
Experience in security best practices for frontend (XSS, CSRF prevention, secure data handling)

Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent industry experience
- At least 3 years of professional frontend development experience building production systems
- Deep proficiency with React, Next.js, modern JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Experience adopting AI-assisted development workflows while maintaining quality and architectural standards
- Strong system design and scalable frontend architecture skills
- Strong HTML and CSS skills, including accessibility, responsive design, rendering performance, and Core Web Vitals

- Good English and Chinese communication skills

- Experience with headless CMS platforms such as headless WordPress, Contentful, or Sanity
- Advanced GA4 and GTM expertise, including custom events, cross-domain tracking, segmentation, and data layers
- Experience with Jest, Cypress, Playwright, or end-to-end testing
- Backend familiarity with Node.js, Python, or PHP
- Experience with Docker and deployment processes

- Design system experience with design tokens, component libraries, or Storybook
