Role Overview
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Product Engineering team. You’ll work on designing, developing and implementing software solutions that ensure a company's compliance with regulatory requirements and standards. This includes developing and maintaining software systems that track and monitor regulatory changes, manage compliance documentation, and automate compliance processes.
Candidates will less experienced but a strong technical foundation and passion will be considered for a less senior role.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend and frontend systems.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand compliance requirements and business processes.
- Developing and testing software to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and security.
- Monitoring and analyzing data to identify potential compliance issues.
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting for compliance software.
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in compliance software development.
- Maintaining compliance software documentation and training materials for end users.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code (JavaScript, React, Node.js).
- Optimize systems for performance and security.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategies.
- Participate in code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring coding standards.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong expertise in JavaScript (React, Node.js) and modern web development.
- Experience building APIs (REST, WebSockets) and microservices.
- Solid understanding of scalable and secure system design.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency trading.
- Experience with TypeScript, Kubernetes, and real-time systems.
- Background in fintech, crypto, or trading platforms.
- Support high traffic, high performance public facing web applications.
- Experience with third-party integrations for client onboarding like Sumsub or Onfido
- Experience with Travel Rule Protocol
- Experience with Sardine, Zendesk
