Senior Front-End Developer

Overview of the Role 

We are looking for a talented React.js developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will work primarily on a modern, scalable React application development, contributing to a seamless and performant user experience. This role is perfect for someone passionate about clean and maintainable code, UI/UX best practices, and continuous improvement. Familiarity with state management libraries (like Redux), component libraries, and frontend performance optimization are a plus. 

This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both! We will kit you out to work from home but know that working as a team is what makes us great and spending quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.  

What you’ll do:   

• Develop and maintain systems using React.js and modern JS (ES6+) standards; 

• Develop scalable and maintainable UI components with a strong focus on performance and UI/UX; 

• Work closely with designers, backend developers, product owners, and stakeholders to implement intuitive and user-friendly solutions; 

• Integrate frontend application with RESTFul, and/or GraphQL or other type of APIs; 

• Write clean, reusable, and testable frontend code, adhering to best practices in structure and style; 

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing frontend features and applications; 

• Contribute to documentation, including component usage, architecture decisions, and codebase guidelines; 

• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility standards are met; 

• Participate in peer code reviews and enforce code quality and consistency across the team; 

• Related duties as assigned. 

What you’ll bring:  

Working Experience:3+ years of professional experience in frontend development, with a strong focus on building applications using React.js; 

• Proven track record of delivering scalable, maintainable, and high-quality frontend solutions in production environments; 

• Experience working with modern JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 

• Familiarity with state management libraries (e.g., Redux,, Recoil) and component libraries/design systems 

• Hands-on experience with RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs integration 

• Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and browser compatibility 

• Experience with Git and collaborative workflows (e.g., GitHub/GitLab) 

• Experience in unit/integration testing (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library) is a plus 

• Familiarity with Next.js, CI/CD pipelines, and performance optimization techniques 

Knowledge: 

• Strong knowledge of React.js and its ecosystem (Hooks, Context API, React Router, etc.) 

• Solid understanding of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript 

• Good grasp of component-based architecture, SPA principles, and frontend state management (e.g., Redux, Zustand, or similar) 

• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and styling techniques (Flexbox, Grid, responsive design, etc.) 

• Familiarity with component libraries (e.g., MUI, Ant Design, Chakra UI, Shadcn) and design systems 

• Proficient in version control using Git and working in collaborative Git-based workflows 

• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL 

• Experience with Tailwind CSS and building utility-first, responsive UIs; 

•  Strong experience with Next.js for building SSR/SSG web applications and full-stack capabilities;  

• Understanding of performance optimization, accessibility, and frontend security best practices 

• Proficient in using browser dev tools and debugging frontend issues efficiently 

• Experience with frontend testing (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library) is a plus 

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerized development (e.g., Docker), and cloud platforms (AWS preferred) is a plus 

• Working with Monorepo applications will be considered as a plus 

• Knowledge of build tools and bundlers like Webpack, Vite, or similar 

• Proficient in written and verbal English communication
