Overview of the Job:

 As a Lead Front-End Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and supporting IT solutions using Agile and DevOps practices. Your primary focus will be on leveraging multiple development platforms, such as MS Azure, AWS, and Web, to deliver IT solutions that align with business objectives. You will work within Development Teams, adding value to the business through sprint backlogs. Your expertise in DevOps processes and automation will contribute to the continuous improvement of efficiency. Collaborating closely with Operations Engineers, you will enhance the flow between Product, Development and Operations, enabling faster delivery of value.

Your Team:

This role will report to the Purchases and Financial Services IT Director based in Cincinnati. Working in the IT team in P&G Global Business Services, you will be part of a growing team of Software Engineers leading innovation for our internal users across the globe.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain user interfaces using React and Next.js/Vite.

  • Collaborate with designers to translate UI/UX wireframes into responsive web applications.

  • Optimize applications for maximum performance across a wide range of devices and browsers.

  • Implement client-side logic and interactivity for web applications.

  • Write unit tests and conduct code reviews to ensure code quality.

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in front-end development.

  • Working within Microsoft Azure environments and utilizing Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) to orchestrate containerized applications

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features in compliance with enterprise requirements

  • Maintaining code integrity and organization, including data security and privacy compliance.

Job Qualifications

Role Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Software Developer, employing foundational software engineering principles

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Engineering

  • Proficient in React.js and familiar with Vite or Next.js.

  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+)

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)

  • Certifications in Azure or Kubernetes are highly desirable

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.

  • Strong understanding of the full software development life cycle, particularly in an Agile Dev/Ops

  • Familiarity with code management (GitHub) and testing frameworks, preferably Jest.

  • Previous experience integrating SAP with custom applications will be a plus
