We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Fraud Analyst to join our Strategic Analytics team.
The Senior Fraud Analysts’ role is to identify, mitigate and prevent fraudulent claims, utilising data and insights.
The role will require using advanced analytical tools to identify behavioural patterns that show high corelation to fraudulent behaviour. This will require working alongside various stakeholders to build out strategies to reduce the incidence of fraud and realise the benefits of the intervention. In addition to designing fraud prevention initiatives, a key aspect of the role is to review customer outcome, to ensure genuine customers do not face excessive friction and negative experience.
The role holder is someone who is used to working in a fast paced, agile team environment and can deliver against tight and evolving deadlines and priorities. A motivated, curious and analytically minded person who enjoys driving positive change leveraging the power of data.
Experience of outlier detection and understanding of different fraud types, including first party and payment fraud is advantageous. .

Key Responsibilities:
Own analytical projects which provide actionable insights and clear recommendations to identify customers who are showing fraudulent behaviour against D&G
Work closely with stakeholders and explain recommendations in a way that will engage stakeholders and influence strategic decisions within the fraud space
Utilise statistical analysis and techniques to automate the identification of customers
Stay abreast of emerging fraud trends and cutting-edge techniques to proactively detect and mitigate these threats
Utilise new data sources to enhance the identification of fraudulent customers
Monitor the outcome of the intervention and continuously improve the customer experience for genuine customers.
Report key metrics and provide performance updates to stakeholders
Inform targets and budget setting
Knowledge and Expertise:
Proven experience of driving actions through analysis, within a previous analytical role.
High level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to effectively collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure holistic fraud prevention and response
Strong delivery, results orientated
Strong stakeholder management skills
Understanding of advanced statistical techniques to develop propensity models.
Ability to explain complex analysis to non-technical colleagues clearly and with authority
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Awareness of AI and ability to learn as new techniques are developed
Technical skills:
Proficient in a range of programming and statistical tools, for example, SQL, Python or R
Experience of data visualization skills such as Power Bi/Tableau
Advanced Microsoft Excel
Experience of Databricks would be advantageous
