Key responsibilities
In this role, you will play a key part in shaping our hardware and embedded systems.
You will support the conception, design, implementation, and testing of modern FPGA-based solutions, as well as the maintenance and further development of existing systems.
Your tasks
Development, implementation, and testing of complex FPGA and SoC architectures
Design of VHDL-based systems and development of verification environments
Execution of simulations, timing analysis, and hardware validation
Development of embedded software for microcontrollers
Support of the hardware design team (schematic and layout reviews, testing, documentation)
Maintenance and continuous improvement of existing systems
Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and close coordination with hardware and software teams
Your profile
Completed degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field of study
At least 3+ years of relevant professional experience in hardware development.
Good knowledge in FPGA design (AMD/Xilinx, Altera, VHDL)
Confident handling of common FPGA development tools (Vivado, ModelSim)
Experience in embedded software development (e.g., PIC, ATMEGA, STM32, MicroBlaze)
Good knowledge in classical hardware development as well as in handling hardware design tools
Basic knowledge in handling bus systems such as Ethernet, PROFIBUS, or similar fieldbus systems
Strong communication and teamwork skills combined with an independent, analytical, and structured working style
English: business-fluent (written and spoken); German: fluent (written and spoken)
