Group/Division

The Office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) plays a critical role in developing advanced long-range technology in collaboration with product divisions and strategic marketing, working on future technology like light sources, lasers, and sensors. We are engaged in the research and development process, and once the technology is mature, we partner with product engineering groups who then build products based on the technology we’ve developed. The Office of the CTO also provides technical input into KLA’s strategic planning process, program reviews and Product Life Cycle (PLC) phases. We provide our broad technology expertise and cross-division experience to ensure we leverage the collective knowledge within our company.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for a Senior FPGA Design Engineer to join our CTO team in Milpitas!

Responsibilities

• Define requirements and develop camera and network projects from concept to pre-production.

• Develop complex, high-speed, innovative FPGA-based designs including design, verification, simulations, synthesis, place and route, and timing closure.

• Bring-up and debug FPGA, PCB, and camera systems.

• Write engineering documentation for internal release.

• Collaborate with team members to solve complex camera and networking challenges.

Qualifications

• Experience with designs using SerDes for high-speed communication.

• Previous experience with imaging camera and networking systems desirable.

• Experience with image processing implementations in hardware.

• Hands-on experience with lab bring-up and camera test setups.

• Good collaborator with strong interpersonal skills

• Proficient with System Verilog and Vivado for design, build, and verification. UVM a plus.

• Experience with embedded software and Linux a plus.

• Experience with machine learning implementations in hardware a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years

Base Pay Range: $154,900.00 - $263,300.00 Annually

Primary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas-KLA
