What you'll be doing:

Shape WPP's Financial Future:

  • Data-Driven Insights: Dive into complex datasets, uncovering hidden trends and opportunities that drive strategic decision-making. Your analysis will fuel our financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, visualized in compelling reports that clearly communicate key findings.

  • Budgeting & Forecasting Guru: Partner with the FP&A Manager to build robust forecast models and budgets, contributing to WPP's annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles. Your expertise will ensure accurate and insightful financial planning.

  • Variance Analysis Ace: Become a master of variance analysis, providing timely and actionable insights to senior stakeholders. You'll identify root causes of variances and recommend corrective actions, directly impacting WPP's financial performance.

  • Storyteller of Financial Performance: Craft compelling narratives around financial reports, providing clear and concise commentary that empowers effective decision-making. You'll present your findings to management and stakeholders, showcasing your analytical prowess and communication skills.

  • Performance Champion: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress against targets, ensuring WPP stays on track to achieve its financial goals. Your insights will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement.

  • Go-To Financial Expert: Provide timely and accurate responses to ad-hoc queries from internal and external stakeholders, becoming a trusted resource for financial information.

  • Process Innovator: Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance our FP&A processes, contributing to increased efficiency and effectiveness within the team.


What you'll need:


Skills & Experience That Will Help You Thrive:

  • Educational Foundation: A Bachelor's degree, demonstrating a strong foundation in analytical thinking and problem-solving. Relevant fields such as finance, accounting, economics, or business administration are preferred, but we encourage applications from diverse academic backgrounds.

  • Analytical Experience: 1-3 years of experience applying your analytical skills in financial analysis, or similar roles where you've honed your abilities in data interpretation, modelling, and reporting. We welcome candidates with equivalent practical experience gained through internships, projects, or other relevant endeavours.

  • Accounting Acumen: A strong understanding of accounting principles, whether through a full accounting qualification or demonstrable progress towards one. We value candidates at various stages of their professional development and are open to supporting your continued learning in this area.

  • Excel Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to build complex models, manipulate data effectively, and create compelling visual representations (e.g., pivot tables, charts, dashboards). Experience with financial planning software is a plus, but not required. We're interested in your ability to leverage technology to drive insights.
