Senior Foreign Exchange Treasury Analyst
POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a Senior Treasury Analyst to join our growing Treasury team. This full-time position will be responsible for leading impactful change to achieve growth goals and assisting in the development of best-in-class processes and controls to lay the foundation for an efficient and scalable Treasury department. This individual will be adaptable to an ever-changing environment, wear multiple hats and lead by example. The Senior Treasury Analyst will collaborate with multiple internal teams to drive the company's objectives while maintaining the Treasury's day-to-day activities, leveraging Treasury knowledge to ensure Velocity Global cash is safe and invested in sound products that provide strategic returns in any macroeconomic environment. This individual will keep the Global Director of Treasury apprised of day-to-day activities and escalations.
This individual will report to our Global Director of Treasury.
The team that this role is a part of is primarily based out of the United States.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze foreign exchange markets and exposures and provide recommendations for risk mitigation
- Make FX spot trades and money market investments
- Analyze international markets and investment strategies
- Assess macroeconomic trends and geopolitical changes to provide analysis of potential impact to the business
- Provide Treasury Management System foreign exchange implementation and maintenance
- Perform intercompany analysis and settlements to ensure cash transfers are compliant with transfer pricing agreements
- Prepare and present regular reports on FX exposures, mitigation strategies and performance
- Support the management global banking infrastructure and cash management processes
- Adhere to and develop existing and new SOPs for compliance purposes
- Manage compliance requests, such as regulatory audits, bank/license requirements
- Lead training sessions for new hires with respect to Treasury governance
- Evaluate and propose ESG aligned initiatives and solutions for the business
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, or combination of education and equivalent work experience
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) highly preferred
- 5+ years' experience working in a corporate treasury environment
- 5+ years' experience with FX trades and risk management
- Proven track record of successful macroeconomic analysis
- Experience managing international investment portfolios and adjusting strategies based on the company's capital needs
- Experience as an owner in a global process, i.e., defining and documenting business requirements and processes with teams inside and outside Finance
- Effective business partnering skills and sound judgment with an ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical and communication skills and the ability to influence outcomes on complex issues
- Strong interest in environmental, social, governance practices, initiatives and reporting
- Attention to detail and ability to think and act strategically
