Eight Sleep is the world’s first sleep fitness company. Our mission is to fuel human potential through optimal sleep. We use innovative technology, detailed design, and proven science and data to personalize and improve each night for everybody—changing the way people sleep forever and for the better.

Backed by leading Silicon Valley investors, we have been recognized as one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies in 2018, 2022, and 2023.

Our temperature-regulated technology, the Pod, is an absolute game changer, improving people's health and happiness by changing the way they sleep. The Pod was also recognized two years in a row by TIME's “Best Inventions of the Year.” It is available for purchase in North America (the United States and Canada) and throughout the United Kingdom, Europe (Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Denmark), and Australia via eightsleep.com. We’re excited by the success of the Pod to date and still have a long way to go toward achieving our mission.

Join our team as a Sr Firmware Engineer to help us bring current and next generations of Pod hardware to life. You'll be a part of a small team designing and implementing solutions with high levels of autonomy to bring our members better sleep. Your work will go directly to our fleet of existing Pods with low friction and direct impact to the business. We are a fast moving and fast growing company, and we embrace individuals with a growth mindset and strong desire to help us achieve our mission: Improving people's lives through optimal sleep.

What We Do

Eight Sleep is building a predictive health platform powered by sleep, now used by 200k+ members nightly across 30+ countries. Our products combine hardware, software, AI, and biometric sensing to turn the bed into an always-on system that can measure physiology, regulate temperature in real time, and adapt throughout the night to improve sleep, recovery, and long-term health. The impact is already measurable. In studies, the Pod has improved sleep quality by up to 32%, helped users fall asleep up to 44% faster, reduced nighttime disturbances by 23%, improved cardiovascular recovery markers like heart rate variability and resting heart rate, and increased cognitive performance, including a 9% improvement in processing speed. More recent research also found a 56% average reduction in nighttime hot flashes among peri- and post-menopausal women. Even after becoming profitable in 2025, we're still early. We've raised over $150M across recent rounds, including a $50M raise at a $1.5B valuation, to accelerate an ambitious roadmap into predictive, AI-driven health.

Why Work With Us

Eight Sleep develops integrated hardware, software, and ML systems that sense physiology and regulate the sleep environment in real time. The product operates nightly, creating a closed-loop system that improves sleep, recovery, and long-term health. If you're looking to work at the edge of what is possible, and make measurable impact
