Job Description
Conduct extensive research to ideate cutting-edge technology solutions. Understand SSD controller SOC architecture and optimize firmware architecture accordingly Undertake lab development to validate and prove functional prototypes including performance testing and tuning Determine requirements of components firmware and software components and systems to achieve customer Develop and optimize code for Arm v8 and v9 architectures Port applications (including AI/ML) to a computational storage platform and deploy in a distributed system
Software/Firmware architect is responsible for the technical direction of a project. Makes high level design choices for the software structure, frameworks, protocols, and algorithms. Determines coding practices, development tools, and validation requirements. Performs pathfinding and surveys technologies. Interacts with multiple technologists in the company and within the industry as well as between developers and project managers to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development. Closely interacts with SoC and HW architects to effectively contribute to platform development, system integration and test.
Qualifications
- Experience with Computational Storage strongly desired
- Linux file systems and distributed file systems
- Linux OS port and configuration
- Firmware and software development (including performance tuning)
- Experience in porting applications to Arm architecture
- Lab & Prototyping (including performance measurement)
Additional Information
For California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $132,940 to $209,760. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
