Senior FINOPS Engineer - Nevio
The Airlines Solution Engineering division part of Travel Unit is accountable for the optimal
delivery of the technology and solutions required to achieve Nevio business objectives. Amadeus Nevio brings next-generation retailing capabilities for full-service and hybrid carriers, based on traveler-centric retailing principles, taking airlines to the next level. It is PSS-independent and brings smooth transition capabilities with smart bridging.
Within Nevio, the Order Management System efficiently manages the processing and servicing of orders.We are looking for an experienced Senior Finops Engineer to accelerate our Finops Maturity by closely working with Order Management System.
Specific accountabilities:
Collaborate with engineering stakeholders to improve FinOps maturity and implement cost-effective solutions.
Work closely with Principal Finops Engineer sharing responsibilities for all the products in the Order Engineering stack with a special focus on the new Order Management System,
Closely work with Cental Finops team being a bridge to the engineering team to implement Central Finops Guidelines and frameworks as needed.
Support the knowledge transfer within the organization, acting as a first point of contact to answer questions around the cloud and FinOps concepts.
Champion and support the implementation of the new operating model in collaboration with the Curiosity transformation pillars (Targeted Operating Model/FinOps). Contribute to the deployment strategy across the units (PMs, Engineering as the primary targets) leading to the first measurable outcome.
Contribute to the first investigations on the cost optimization opportunities, implement when straightforward, collaborate with the application owner to implement more complex cases
Contribute to the implementation of common frameworks, contribute to the FinOps toolchain enhancement.
Contribute to the technology watch for the IaaS/PaaS services to understand what are the new offers and collaboration with the architecture board. Communication with the stakeholders.
Development of data collection and other frameworks feeding, contributing to the FinOps toolchain delivery.
Facilitate the capacity management process (yearly/quaterly to give visibility to the cloud providers or ad-hoc to support temporary increase of business volumes such as promotion campaigns).
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in a FinOps Engineer role or similar position, or as a Devops Engineer with exposure to FinOps and a desire to deepen their expertise.
Strong technical skills in cloud technologies, including experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
