Position Summary

The Senior Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for managing, enhancing, and optimizing the financial systems that support the organization’s financial operations. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure systems meet business needs, maintaining data integrity, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial processes, and experience with financial software systems.  This role will have frequent interaction with all levels of the Accounting and Finance team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • System Management: Oversee the administration and configuration of financial systems, ensuring they are aligned with organizational goals and compliance standards.

  • Project Management: Lead and participate in system upgrades, implementations, and other projects related to financial systems, including the SAP upgrade slated to begin in 2025.

  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system processes, procedures, and user guides.

  • Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth analyses of financial data, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve system functionality, leading initiatives to implement changes.

  • User Support and Training: Serve as a primary point of contact for users, providing support and training on financial systems and tools.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT, finance, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of financial systems with other enterprise applications.

  • Support Accounting leadership in various monthly close tasks.

  • Perform other relevant tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Communication: Strong listening and interpersonal skills.  Candidates must possess good verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate cross-functionally and through phone calls and e-mails. 

  • Analytical: Candidates must have strong statistical/analytical skills including data retrieval, organization, presentation, and summary skills.

  • Technology: Candidates with be experienced and savvy in Microsoft Excel.  Strong proficiency in financial software (e.g., ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or similar). Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.

  • Organization: Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously - prioritize and complete requests in an efficient manner. Attention to detail is a must.

  • Cultural: Must want to contribute in an extremely fast-paced organization; desire for constant learning; must live by the Company’s Core Values.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree or CPA is a plus.

  • Experience: 5+ years in a relevant Accounting or Financial Operational role highly preferred.  Strong proficiency in financial software (e.g., ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or similar).

Work Environment and Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time as the job is completed primarily at a desk each day. Variable desk heights are offered so alternatively sitting and/or standing at the desk is optional. 

  • Flexibility to work extended and varied hours as needed.
