The Senior Financial Products Representative role is a liaison between Co-operators Agents and External Financial and Insurance markets to facilitate new business and administer the renewal and servicing of the existing legacy book of business. Regular interaction with representatives of external market carriers to review available product shelf, servicing improvements and support expectations. The role will work primarily with Co-operators advisors to assist with solutions for specific client needs and sales opportunities. Collaboration with the Sr Life Consultants and Life & Wealth Consultants would occur as part of providing all encompassing sales support to advisors. There is also an administrative component supporting the payment of advisor commissions that requires collaboration with Finance and payroll.
How you will create impact:
- Market Life and Wealth product lines to Co-operators Advisors both for new business accounts and existing renewal business
- Prepare product recommendations for Advisors
- Review life and financial market quotations to ensure accuracy prior to release to Advisors
- Negotiate with external market partners to facilitate sales support for Co-operators advisors and clients
- Work with Co-operators Advisors to obtain required applications for either new business or renewal business within communicated service standards
- Present product information as required
- Mentor junior support staff to advance general education and working knowledge of markets/products in support of Advisors
- Work with the Life & Wealth Consultants, Sr Consultants Individual Life, and Senior Consultants Wealth teams to support CLIC Products and provide back-up on Co-operators Life Products and processes were applicable in competitive situations.
Post secondary education Business degree or equivalent experience
Life License is required or will need to be obtained within a short timeframe
Professional designation CFP or PFP is ideal but not required
Minimum of two years Life and/or Wealth experience, in sales or a sales support capacity
Extensive knowledge of the broker environment and the products and services offered in the market is an asset
- Strong customer service skills with ability to establish rapport with business partners to identify needs and provide guidance as required
Possess specialized knowledge of Wealth Management and life insurance products as well as product offerings of the various markets
- You influence change and are committed to continuous improvement, in order to exceed client expectations.
- You leverage critical thinking skills to identify problems and proactively propose solutions.
- Your strong communication skills allow you to clearly convey messages.
- You’re an effective team player who shares knowledge to support our peers.

Expected salary/hourly range $50,280.00 - $83,800.00
The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
