to join CLEAResult as a Senior Financial Operations Consultant. In this role, you will act as a finance business partner supporting program managers, with a strong emphasis on cost accounting, preparing financial statements for external audit, and managing the month-end close process. You'll also be responsible for client/program financial analysis (revenue, labor, expenses), program budget and forecasting support, financial reporting support, and program KPI support, preparing financial analysis in support of business objectives and program management activities.

Manage the end-of-month closing process with accuracy while driving efficiencies, including analysis and commentary to explain the financials
Prepare financial statements and supporting documentation for external audit, acting as liaison between the accounting firm and Operations on audit and financial compliance questions
Apply cost accounting principles to analyze program costs, labor, and expenses, supporting accurate program financial reporting and compliance with financial reporting standards
Work closely with program managers and directors to proactively understand impacts to the P&L and establish key financial measures for business strategies
Manage program data and conduct financial analysis, forecasting, variance analysis, and reconciliations to forecasts and contractual program budgets
Compile and prepare budget analyses and comparisons, providing insightful analysis with risk-mitigation recommendations, including operational expense modeling with program teams
Act as a liaison between Operations and Corporate to research and answer questions, and support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested
Apply an understanding of ASC 606/revenue recognition and contractual language to assess financial drivers and impacts
Proactively facilitate and support mid-month reviews, and drive process improvements and system optimizations
Support management initiatives such as process standardization, protect organizational value by maintaining confidentiality, and perform other duties as assigned
You will have…
7+ years of applicable experience in accounting or financial operations
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business preferred, and/or equivalent experience
Strong cost accounting background, with hands-on experience preparing financial statements for external audit
Proven experience managing month-end close processes with accuracy and efficiency
Experience with government-level financial reporting a plus
Solid understanding of ASC 606/revenue recognition and its financial impacts
Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Based in New England; this is a remote position
Target Compensation:
$100,000.00/annual
DOT Requirements
