We are looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to own our accounting operations and help build scalable finance processes in a fast-growing US-based company.
This role combines operational accounting, financial reporting, process improvement, and team leadership. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, supporting business growth, and maintaining strong accounting processes and internal controls.
This is a hands-on accounting leadership role focused on accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, and continuous improvement of finance processes.
Responsibilities:
Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Evaluate new business transactions and determine the appropriate accounting treatment.
Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and other accounting activities to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger.
Manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, cash management, and banking.
Maintain and improve accounting policies, finance processes, and internal controls.
Support budgeting, forecasting, commission calculations, and management reporting by providing accurate financial information.
Maintain and optimize finance systems and integrations, including NetSuite/ QuickBooks, Bill.com, Rippling, and other finance tools.
Coordinate and support the accounting team by reviewing work, providing guidance, and helping resolve accounting questions.
Partner with cross-functional teams to understand new business initiatives and their accounting impact.
Support internal and external audits and ensure timely completion of audit requests.
Identify opportunities to automate processes, improve workflows, and increase the efficiency of the finance function.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
5+ years of professional experience in accounting or finance, including at least 2 years in a role with ownership of accounting operations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
Hands-on experience with month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
Working knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS. Experience with US GAAP is a strong plus.
Experience evaluating accounting guidance and determining the appropriate accounting treatment for business transactions.
Experience designing, implementing, or improving accounting and finance processes.
Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Experience reviewing the work of others or coordinating accounting activities is preferred
Upper-intermediate English (B2+) or higher
Nice to have:
Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
Industry experience in IT, AdTech or other digital-first companies (experience in other industries is also welcome).

Skills Required
- 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting or financial management, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead role
- Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, cash management, and banking activities
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards and internal controls
- Hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Proficiency with financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks or similar ERP platforms) and advanced Google Sheets skills
- Maintain, optimize, and enhance financial tech stack and integrations (e.g., Rippling, Bill.com)
- Experience coordinating, supporting and reviewing work of junior and mid-level finance team members
- Ability to prepare documentation and support internal and external audit processes
- Upper-intermediate English (B2 or higher) with strong written communication skills
