About the Team

The Workday Success Plans Delivery Team at Workday plays a crucial role in ensuring customers maximise the value they get from their Workday products. We focus on our customers’ post go-live journey, assuring long-term success. We deliver a variety of programs and services ranging from feature assessments to full feature deployments to support their growing and changing business needs within Workday.

About the Role

As a Workday Financials (Spend Management) Functional Consultant – Workday Success Plans, you will work closely with customers post go-live to identify optimization and adoption opportunities across the Purchase to Pay lifecycle to ensure they are fully leveraging their Workday Financials investment. 

You will: 

  • Serve as a functional configuration expert for Workday Spend Management, helping customers optimize requisition-to-pay processes, supplier management, and spend controls.

  • Perform tenant reviews, configuration assessments, and targeted, micro-consulting engagements and office-hours style sessions to help customers solve specific spend-related business problems using Workday.

  • Design and deliver feature demonstrations, Accelerator webinars, and enablement sessions to help customers understand and adopt new and existing Workday Spend Management capabilities. 

  • Partner with customers to translate business requirements into scalable, best-practice Workday configurations. 

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about Workday Spend Management, enjoys configuration “hands-on,” and loves working directly with customers in an advisory consulting capacity.

Key Responsibilities

Share expertise with customers on a variety of Ask-an-Expert requests by:

  • Conducting research to ensure understanding of customer questions and related Workday concepts. 

  • Delivering small scope consulting in response to customer requests; providing configuration guidance, demonstrations, considerations, tips & tricks. 

  • Troubleshooting complex product configurations and data issues; propose and implement optimal configuration solutions to Workday Spend Management components, including but not limited to: 

    • Requisitions & Purchase Orders 

    • Supplier Contracts 

    • Supplier Accounts & Supplier Portal 

    • Supplier Invoices & Invoice Matching 

    • Inventory (as applicable) 

    • Expenses & Corporate Cards 

    • Asset Purchasing (procurement components)

Partner with an Engagement Manager to deliver services that include: 

  • Feature Adoption Workshops (Facilitate customer Workday feature roadmap discussions)

  • Functional Review (Tenant Review with Consulting Services) 

  • Health Check (Tenant Review with Cross Functional Consulting Services) 

Additional Services that our consultants deliver include: 

  • Collaboration Crews (Facilitate group customer sharing discussions). 

  • Accelerator Webinars (Creating and delivering customer presentations on how to use Workday features to achieve business goals). 

  • Feature Accelerator Coaching (Providing one-on-one consulting guidance to accelerate customer feature adoption).

About You

Basic Qualifications (P4 / Senior)

  • 5+ years of hands-on Workday Financials Spend Management configuration experience

  • 5+ years of experience with Workday Financials and financial systems

  • 3+ years of customer-facing consulting or advisory experience supporting Procure to Pay processes

Additional Qualifications

  • Workday Certification or ability to obtain a Workday Certification

  • Ability to clearly explain complex Procure to Pay and security concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple customer engagements and deliverables concurrently

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Experience supporting large, global enterprises with multi-entity and multi-currency accounting

  • Ability to travel up to 20%, based on customer and business needs
