About the role:
CLA is looking to hire a Senior Financial and Compliance Analyst for our Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) practice who can sit in our St. Louis, MO office. Our CAAS team helps our clients transform their business with a collaborative approach that allows them to seamlessly mitigate risk, overcome challenges, meet deadlines, and identify personnel to help them with their workforce needs.
As a Senior Financial and Compliance Analyst, you will:

Performs various financial compliance procedures for a client related to governmental agency funding requirements

Monitoring of governmental compliance requirements of affiliated organizations related to financial reporting and administrative policies and procedures

Provides support for budget development and monitoring processes
-
Assist with preparing and reviewing financial and statistical reports, analyzing for unusual items, and notifying team leaders when necessary.

Identify trends in financial performance

Compare and analyze historical results with plans and forecasts
-
Develop and maintain complex financial models
-
Perform various financial analyses, including financing, expansion, and other business changes
-
Assist annually with preparation for the independent auditors
-
Identify accounting errors, research technical issues, and proactively resolve issues
-
Assist with projects related to due diligence, system selection, and other consulting.
What you will need:
-
Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.

2 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience is required.

Relevant experience in non-profit organizations is strongly desired.

Proficiency and aptitude for applicable software (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc). Thorough technical knowledge of accounting software (Quickbooks, Intacct, Xero, Bill.com, Expensify).

Thorough understanding of the financial operations of industry specific engagements (i.e. nonprofit, health care, manufacturing, etc).
