POSITION SUMMARY
This hybrid position supports the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function by providing accurate, timely, and insightful financial analysis and reporting for at least one business line. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical skills with excellent communication and collaboration abilities, proactively seeking improvements and driving interdepartmental engagement.
This role requires strong ownership of FP&A systems, including maintaining and enhancing Axiom. The ideal candidate will leverage SQL and an understanding of underlying data structures to support reporting, data integrity, and process improvements. Candidates should live within 90 mile distance from St. Paul, MN in order to meet hybrid work requirement.
Responsibilities also include KPI reporting, variance analysis, and financial modeling to support strategic decisions and executive reviews.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Own and maintain Axiom FP&A software, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes while improving system performance and usability.
- Support Axiom’s underlying data structures by writing and modifying SQL queries to ensure accurate and efficient data flow.
- Partner with Finance, IT, and BI teams to enhance Axiom capabilities, improve data integrity, and implement scalable reporting and planning solutions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for assigned business line(s).
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI to provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, explain variances, and resolve issues.
- Assist in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis to support strategic decisions.
- Build and maintain KPI reporting tools and trend analysis for executive reviews.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across systems and reports.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting as requested by leadership.
- Participate in monthly business line reviews and communicate findings effectively to senior executives.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school degree or GED Required
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in financial analysis, preferably in banking or financial services.
- Advanced Excel skills and high proficiency in financial modeling techniques.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases, including the ability to query, validate, and transform financial data.
- Experience with FP&A and budgeting platforms (Axiom strongly preferred), including system administration, data validation, and report development, and an understanding of how front-end models connect to underlying data structures.
- Strong verbal and communication skills and ability to present to senior leadership.
- Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with AI tools and maintains an open, curious approach to emerging technologies.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Annual salary DOQ: $75,626 - $108,035 - $140,446
