The Strategic Finance team at Genesys is responsible for leading the company’s financial forecasting and reporting for executives and investors, including developing the company’s annual budget and long-range plans and providing executives with regular analysis of the company’s performance across key strategic goals. This Senior Financial Analyst role will lead expense forecasting and strategic projects for several functions and work closely with finance and business partners at all levels of the company including senior executives. We are looking for a driven and accomplished finance professional with a proven track record of delivering results who is looking to grow their career by being a key strategic partner to Genesys senior executives.
Responsibilities:
- Become a trusted partner and advisor for Genesys senior executives and other cross-functional teams to provide financial decision-making support.
- Develop and own budget and forecasting process including headcount, non-labor expenses for Bad Debt, VAT, Insurance and special projects.
- Perform financial analysis of cloud infrastructure and technology costs, evaluate AI-related investments and business cases, and provide recommendations to optimize spending, resource utilization, and operational outcomes.
- Partner with business leads, Finance, and Legal teams to set and execute on the function’s strategic plans
- Generate variance analyses, bridges, and presentations that explain trends and takeaways for leadership, board of directors, and other external investor communications.
- Perform month-end closing activities including accrual preparation and coordination with accounting.
- Reconcile and ensure consistency of data from various sources and assist in driving the automation of reports and analyses.
- Analyze and interpret data to develop insights and recommendations.
- Support ad-hoc finance projects to help leadership make financially sound decisions.
Qualifications / Skills Desired and Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant degrees.
- 2-4 years experience in corporate finance, consulting, or financial services SaaS/Cloud industry experience is a plus.
- Advanced Excel & financial modeling skills.
- Superior attention to detail and quality.
- Proficient in PowerPoint, business intelligence (Tableau/PowerBI), planning, ERP, and reporting systems. Prior experience with Workday Adaptive a plus.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, collaboration and consultative skills. Inquisitive and growth mindset in approaching complex problems.
Compensation:
This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.
