Position Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst, is responsible for providing advanced financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support strategic decision-making within the organization. This role involves analyzing financial data, developing financial models, and preparing comprehensive reports to guide business planning and performance evaluation. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in driving financial efficiency and supporting the company's financial goals.

What you’ll bring to Zelis:

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.

  • Analyze financial statements, key performance indicators (KPIs), and other financial metrics to identify trends and variances.

  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to improve business performance.

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting and budgeting processes.

  • Collaborate with department heads to gather input and assumptions for financial forecasts and budgets.

  • Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts and provide variance analysis.

  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate financial performance and key metrics.

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

  • Support strategic planning initiatives by providing financial analysis and modeling.

  • Evaluate potential investments, projects, and business opportunities through financial analysis.

  • Assist in the development of long-term financial plans and strategies.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and systems for greater efficiency and accuracy.

  • Implement best practices in financial analysis and reporting.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and automation.

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and accounting standards.

  • Assist in the identification and mitigation of financial risks.

  • Participate in internal and external audits as needed.

What you’ll bring to Zelis:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), or a related field.

  • Proven experience in developing financial models and conducting complex financial analysis.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial analysis software.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • CFA, CPA, or other relevant financial certification preferred.

Location and Workplace Flexibility

We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India.
