Job Description
Contributes to Our Purpose by building strength in our business. Responsible for independently contributing to management and external reporting, planning and forecasting, financial analysis and insight and serving as a trusted business partner.
Key Focus Areas
- Management and external reporting: Actual and forecast reporting for North America Leadership Team, Corporate and support for ELT, Board and external half and full-year reporting
- Planning and forecasting: Regional monthly forecasting and annual budget and business planning
- Commercial analysis and decision support: Support the North America leadership and business units in driving the growth and advancement of Blue Scope North America:
- Business Unit decision support providing variance analysis, sensitivity and scenario analysis and evaluation of major initiatives including assessment of key commercial benefits and risks
- Evaluation of strategic initiatives, major and complex capital projects and merger and acquisition opportunities including modeling, valuation, scenario and risk analysis
- Multi-level stakeholder engagement and project coordination
Qualifications
Required Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant discipline
- 5-7 years finance experience
- Strong technical skills and financial acumen
- Strong project management skills, including ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders globally
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to understand complex issues
Desired Qualifications
To be considered an ideal candidate, you should possess some or all of the following qualifications:
- 2-5 years corporate financial planning and analysis or corporate development /strategy consulting firm experience
- Previous experience and exposure to global steel / commodity markets or cyclical industries
