Senior Financial Analyst (Contract)

Lead client finance engagements by…

  • Structuring ambiguous business problems and supporting data analysis, meticulous data review and presentation of findings
  • Building the foundation for the project effort by capturing the business context - problem, current state, desired future state, objectives, business needs and impacted user groups
  • Collecting and reviewing available information to make data-driven business decisions and recommendations
  • Collaborating with the client team and cross-functional Kaizen team members including managers, other analysts and business consultants
  • Independent worker capable of driving business results with minimum oversight
  • Support Analysis and visualization relating to annual financial planning and quarterly forecast updates
  • Strong understanding of all business financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow) and relationships
  • Evaluating trends in monthly cost outcomes for target costs and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Familiarity with capital cost planning and accounting
  • Analyzing monthly and YTD financial variances and providing explanations as part of the monthly financial review
  • Coaching operations leaders and project managers on business development and financial decision making
  • Ensure the requirements are specified in a manner suitable for the intended audience and are understandable, unambiguous, and capable of being implemented and tested
  • Assess change requests related to requirements to assess overall impact
  • Ensure change control and change management procedures are followed
  • Cultivate effective relationships and credibility with client partners

Job Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years of related work experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, or related discipline is required.
  • Client will require hybrid availability in the DFW area (min 2 days a week in office).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Core Skills: Strong communication, project management, analytical, and presentation skills; mindset of “own it all the way”
  • Tools: Familiarity with SAP or Financial Planning software is required, Microsoft Office applications required including advanced proficiency in Excel, and Data Visualization tools are preferred (Tableau and Power BI)
  • Alteryx (other ETL tools) and/or Power Automate are a plus
  • Understanding of the automotive industry is a plus
  • 6-12 month contract with direct hire potential
