About the role:

Pacvue is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support our SMB business unit. You will be a key member of the FP&A team, responsible for providing valuable insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making and financial planning. This is a high visibility role that will require someone who can think strategically and partner with stakeholders across all levels of the organization. You will play a crucial role in supporting our budgeting, forecasting, and reporting cadences along with facilitating data-driven analyses for Pacvue leadership. 

Responsibilities:

  • Own key components of our monthly Board and management reporting packages, including reporting on revenue, expenses, and KPIs for our SMB business unit 
  • Help FP&A improve forecasting accuracy by digging into and explaining variances, including actual vs. budgets and forecasts 
  • Synthesize input from business unit leadership and budget owners into bottom-up revenue and expense projections for our annual budgeting and reforecasting cycles 
  • Maintain, actualize, update, and improve our driver-based revenue projection models 
  • Partner regularly with various teams to help drive key FP&A processes, including:
    • Data/Analytics to become an expert on Pacvue’s operating data and definitions
    • HR and Recruiting on headcount planning
    • Accounting on month end close and financial reporting accuracy
    • Sales and Product on building revenue and KPI projections
  • Help prepare high impact presentations and materials for Board meetings
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support to executive leadership and business partners 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or other related quantitative fields 
  • 3-5 years of prior Finance experience, including FP&A or Strategic Finance at a tech company, investment banking, consulting, or other analytical roles 
  • Knowledge of KPIs and drivers for subscription/SaaS business models 
  • High proficiency in Excel: knowledge of key functions and ability to write/audit complex formulas 
  • Experience building robust, automated financial models and P&L projections from scratch 
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and Accounting/Finance principles 
  • Ability to efficiently navigate, analyze, and glean insights from large datasets 
  • Experience building presentations (PowerPoint) for Board and executive-level audiences 
  • Capable of communicating and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment 
  • Prior experience using cloud software for financial planning (e.g. Pigment, Oracle, etc)
