What you'll do:
Provide excellent financial support to the Marketing team by preparing accurate and timely budgets and forecasts, monitoring results versus Plan/ forecast / prior year, investigating variances and providing a thorough analysis of financial results.
Produce insightful and relevant commentary that can simplify complex financial matters into a well-crafted story/call-to-action, to allow financial and non-financial stakeholders to drive decisions.
Be a trusted advisor by assisting the business in identifying financial risks and opportunities, as well as managing the long-term outlook planning for the business, ensuring the outlook is achievable and aligns to the strategic direction and growth plans for this business.
Proactively build and improve on more complicated financial models to assist with regular and ad hoc analysis and reporting.
Anticipate evolving financial needs and work with cross-functional teams to build efficient financial processes.
Leverage AI and automation tools to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of recurring FP&A activities, including monthly reporting, variance analysis, forecast updates, commentary preparation, and dashboard refreshes.
Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes through tools such as Power BI, Power Query, Excel automation, workflow automation, and AI-enabled productivity tools, while maintaining strong financial controls and data integrity.
What you bring:
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Post graduate degree (MBA) or designation (CPA, CFA) is considered an asset.
3+ years experience in finance roles, with a preference for roles that directly support finance business partners.
Budgeting, forecasting, and planning experience, as well as experience with building financial models.
Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to work independently and create brand new reporting for this business unit.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal); superior cross functional relationship/collaboration skills.
Attention to detail, organized, motivated self-starter with an ability to thrive in a growth environment where business requirements are ever evolving.
Experience with Excel and PowerPoint is required; experience with HFM (Hyperion) and/or Power BI is considered an asset.
Demonstrated curiosity and practical experience using AI, automation, or data visualization tools to improve productivity, simplify analysis, or enhance business storytelling; examples may include Copilot, Power BI, Power Query, automated Excel templates, dashboarding, or workflow automation.
Ability to critically assess outputs from AI-enabled tools, validate results against source data, and apply sound judgment to ensure insights are accurate, explainable, and appropriate for business decision-making.
Broadband Salary range: $64,000.00 and $106,000.00 per annum.
Our typical hiring range is between $64,000 and $85,000. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements. For critical roles, the compensation offering will be reviewed to ensure alignment with market rate and conditions and the unique value you bring to the role.
