Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in underwriting and executing investment sales assignments. This individual will lead financial modeling, valuation analysis, and the development of client deliverables including Broker Opinions of Value (BOVs) and Offering Memorandums (OMs).
The role requires a strong understanding of real estate fundamentals, capital markets dynamics, and investor underwriting criteria. Candidates must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, client-facing environment with direct exposure to ownership groups, investors, and internal deal teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Analysis & Underwriting
- Lead detailed financial modeling and valuation analysis using ARGUS Enterprise and Excel for a variety of asset types
- Build and audit complex discounted cash flow (DCF) models, including development and redevelopment scenarios
- Analyze rent rolls, operating statements, lease abstracts, and market assumptions to inform underwriting
- Translate underwriting into actionable pricing guidance and investment narratives
Valuation & Client Deliverables
- Prepare Broker Opinion of Value (BOV) materials and pricing recommendations
- Develop institutional-quality Offering Memorandums and marketing materials
- Synthesize complex financial data into clear, compelling investment theses
Transaction Execution
- Support end-to-end transaction processes, including due diligence, buyer underwriting support, and escrow coordination
- Manage data rooms, process timelines, and execution checklists
- Interface with clients, investors, and internal stakeholders throughout the deal lifecycle
Market Research & Strategy
- Conduct in-depth market research, including comparable sales, leasing data, and capital markets trends
- Track investor activity and underwriting trends across product types
- Provide strategic insight to inform positioning and marketing of assets

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree (Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred)
- 3 or more years of commercial real estate experience, preferably in capital markets, investments sales, or advisory
- Strong background in financial modeling, including ARGUS Enterprise and Excel-based DCF analysis
- Experience underwriting multiple asset classes (office, multifamily, industrial preferred)
- California Real Estate Salesperson’s License, or ability to obtain one within six months of employment

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
