ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Act as a strategic partner to the Controller/CFO by utilizing planning and forecasting insights to identify long-term growth opportunities, support strategic initiatives, and inform high-level decision-making.
- Lead the development and execution of long-range financial plans, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts across departments and business units.
- Analyze and interpret complex financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Drive monthly reporting processes, including variance analysis against budget and forecast, and communicate findings to senior & executive leadership.
- Prepare executive, board-level, and external stakeholder presentations.
- Own and enhance financial models for scenario planning, program expansion, cost optimization, and investment evaluations. Support enterprise-wide strategic initiatives through financial analysis and modeling.
- Act as financial business partner to department leaders, assisting in budget ownership and accountability. Lead or support implementation and optimization of financial planning software, tools, and dashboards.
- Mentor junior financial analysts and provide guidance on data analysis best practices. Collaborate with accounting to support accurate monthly close processes and ensure alignment of actuals to forecast.
- Manage ad hoc projects and strategic financial requests from the Executive Team.
- Ensure the integrity of financial data and participate in internal control process improvements.
- Assist with audit preparation and documentation as needed.
- Analyze and summarize key financial and operational KPIs and present actionable insights in a visually compelling manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Finance, Economics, International Business, or related field
Experience
- 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in financial planning and analysis at a nonprofit organization.
- Must have experience with:
- 1)Financial grants reporting and non profit finance
- 2)Financial reporting tools and data visualization- Power BI, Tableau, or Google Looker Studio
- 3)GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- 4)Building and maintaining complex financial models
- 5)FP&A tools such as NetSuite, Vena, or Adaptive Insights.
Salary
$92,227.00 per year
Work Hours
- 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- 5 day 40 hr/wk.
