RIS I is the delivery of regional IT services to the end user. We offer support of end user devices including desktop, workplace peripherals, and voice and video devices. We support local and campus area networks, including wireless and cable plant.
AT&T has an opening for a Senior Financial Analyst to support the RIS I Government contract. This role will provide financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and contract deliverable support for a mission-focused federal program delivering regional IT services, end-user device support, workplace peripherals, voice and video services, and local and campus area network support.
Description of Job Duties/Responsibilities:
The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in helping program leadership understand financial performance, manage cost and budget activity, prepare accurate contract deliverables, and make informed business decisions. This position requires a strong financial professional who can translate complex data into clear insights, support proposal and task order pricing, and partner across program, contracts, operations, and leadership teams to drive disciplined execution.
This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered. Work to be performed at a government customer site in Columbia, MD.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform complex financial analysis, data modeling, forecasting, and reporting to support contract performance and leadership decision-making.
- Assemble, interpret, and summarize financial data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
- Prepare reports, briefings, and presentations that communicate findings, analyses, and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
- Evaluate financial performance, including cost management, budget administration, and financial consequences of alternative plans or strategies.
- Prepare or coordinate data gathering for financial contract deliverables and ensure information is accurate, timely, and aligned with program requirements.
- Support task order pricing and proposal development by preparing financial inputs, validating assumptions, and coordinating information requirements.
- Develop automated tools, applications, and process improvements to increase productivity, eliminate duplication, and improve reporting consistency.
- Evaluate business opportunities, financial projects, and program initiatives to help achieve organizational financial objectives.
- Partner with program leadership, operations, contracts, and cross-functional teams to support financial planning, execution, and compliance.
- Provide guidance and direction to less experienced financial analysts as needed.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Seven or more years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, or related financial management functions.
- Experience preparing financial reports, analyzing cost and budget data, and presenting recommendations to leadership.
- Strong desktop and analytical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical, operational, contracts, and leadership teams.
- Strong project management, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced contract environment
