As the Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A - Product & Supply Chain, you will play a key role in building out the FP&A function supporting our Product and Supply Chain cross-functional business partners, with a focus supporting our Product and Supply Chain-dedicated teams in optimizing operations and scaling for growth, through enhanced KPI and reporting visibility, and cross-functional partnership.
You will work closely with senior leadership and other internal stakeholders to drive brand performance through analytical insights and financial support and will play a key role in enhancing the financial performance management of these major drivers of our future profitability.

The Product & Supply Chain Financial Planning & Analysis team at Arc’teryx is responsible for providing leadership with the information they need to review past performance, understand business trends, and anticipate future performance and financial position. Through review of historic financials, variance analysis and KPI tracking, the team advises leadership on key investment decisions and performance improvement.
If you were the Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A - Product and Supply Chain, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Developing global seasonal margin targets and partnering with Merchandising, MP&A, Sourcing and Product Design teams to achieve targets
- Leading product margin planning for North America and EMEA by sales channel with oversight to global product margin
- Developing financial models to enhance forecasting and budgeting of key components of Cost of Sales Variances, and relationship with Cost of Goods Sold
- Managing and forecasting of company elimination entries relating to intercompany transactions
- Enhancing Cost of Sales Variances reporting, working to create better visibility and more accurate mapping of costs
- Leading inventory forecasting, partnering closely with our Global Planning team to understand inventory balances and evaluate against targeted KPIs
- Maintaining weekly and monthly product margin reporting for key stakeholders
- Leading the completion of monthly and quarterly corporate reporting, ensuring information provided is consistent with requirements from Amer (parent company)
- Reviewing month-end financial results and partnering closely with Accounting to investigate variances
- Acting as a key partner in strategic priorities financial modelling of gross margin impact to provide decision analysis support
- Identifying and supporting with the implementation of Gross Margin improvement initiatives, especially as it pertains to FOB costs
- Standardizing team deliverables for the Product & Supply Chain FP&A team to enhance consistency and predictability of deliverables and expectations for our cross-functional partners
- Leading improvements to month end review process
- Leading high level reforecasts and rolling forecast capabilities
- Performing ad-hoc reporting and project work as required

- Leading seasonal margin target planning and working closely with cross functional teams to drive to these targets, with goal of driving gross margin expansion
- Being a key stakeholder in decision analysis for strategic priorities, providing insights particularly as it pertains to gross margin
- Bringing more visibility on gross margin actualization to key stakeholders in the business
- Helping to drive the overall Seasonal buy strategy from an inventory perspective, providing targets and guidelines to teams involved
Are you our next Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A – Product & Supply Chain?
- You have 4+ years proven experience in Finance and/or Financial Planning & Analysis role
- You have a bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or equivalent and ideally have your CPA, CMA, CA, CFA, or MBA
- You have exceptional attention to detail
- You have advanced analytical skills with a strong aptitude for MS Excel and data analysis tools
- You are highly proficient in accounting systems and business intelligence (BI) tools
- You can prioritize and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and can collaborate with individuals across departments, organizations, and countries
- You can coordinate and lead projects to completion
- You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
- You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
- You can balance autonomy and collaboration
- You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement

We design and manufacture a wide range of mountain sports outdoor apparel and equipment for all conditions and experiences, including mountaineering, ice and rock climbing, skiing, snowboarding, and trail running.
