Senior Financial Analyst [Contract]

What will you work on?
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting, this role will support the internal financial reporting process and be responsible for the preparation of high-quality management reporting including monthly sales and profitability reports and generating financial insights & analysis. This is a dynamic role that will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to be an integral member of a team seeking best in class financial reporting.
How will you create impact?

• Organization, compilation, and preparation of financial data for analytical purposes
• Preparation and analysis of monthly market, customer, and brand profitability reports
• Prepare monthly sales reports and consolidated sales file
• Business partner with the sales and brand teams on interpreting the monthly financial results
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting to support internal reporting, including the preparation of Executive and Board of Directors presentations
• Prepare monthly reporting and analysis on Selling, General and Administrative expenses
• Works closely with cross-functional teams globally, to ensure accuracy and completeness for financial results
• Prepare supporting documentation and work closely with the Company’s external auditors on Quarterly Reviews and the Annual Audit
• Preparation of ad hoc reports and analysis where required
• Support the integration of new acquisitions within existing processes

What are your skills and experience?

• CPA or equivalent accounting designation or MBA
• Experience in a financial analysis position
• Experience with Power BI mandatory
• Experience with SAP, BPC and BI are an asset
• Strong computer literacy skills with Microsoft Office and advanced level Excel skill (pivots, v-lookups, and advanced formulas)

This posting is for an existing vacancy. This position requires an onsite presence four days per week.

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Ontario is $85,000 to $95,000 per annum. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc. Spin Master ltd. is a multi-provincial employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other provinces.
