How you will make an impact:The Genetic Sciences Division (GSD) is a business within the Life Sciences Solutions Group (LSG), which provides industry-leading genetic sciences tools and solutions to advance scientific discovery, enable customers in applied markets and improve global health outcomes.
Our Commercial Finance function is responsible for providing oversight and support for our fast-paced, innovative and global sales teams. By leading activities such as strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, pricing and close exercises, while leveraging analytics, forecasting and reporting skills, you will help shape the commercial success of our business areas for senior leaders and the sales teams. You will develop a robust skill set as part of this fast-paced function by interacting with a broad number of internal business partners and building organizational capabilities to drive profitability & customer satisfaction. Seeking a Finance Sr. Analyst focused on our OEM and HID businesses to be a key member of the Commercial Finance team to support senior leaders in data analytics, financial reporting and forecasting processes to help craft the success of the business. This role would suit an individual with a passion for data analytics and a real desire to develop and succeed within a fast paced, innovative global FP&A function!
What you will do:- Serve as key finance partner to OEM and HID businesses by analyzing performance drivers, supporting pipeline and funnel reviews, and ensuring disciplined execution against revenue targets
- Develop the global revenue forecast, including pacing, bookings, backlog, price/volume analysis, and risk and opportunity identification
- Analyze financial and business performance against key business metrics and identify pertinent financial highlights, enabling understanding of progress against strategic business plans
- Monitor and analyze financials, including supporting monthly and quarterly reporting (revenue, gross margin, OPEX, KPI's, CAPEX)
- Support financial planning activities for the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Strategic 5-Year Plan (STRAP), translating business strategies into financial outcomes
- Perform special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis
- Drive continuous improvement (PPI) within finance processes, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other business-related discipline (MBA or CFA preferred)
- 6+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally within a global, matrixed organization
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills with the ability to connect financial results to operational drivers and business strategy
- Demonstrated ownership mindset with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Hyperion Planning, SmartView, or comparable financial systems
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information for executive audiences
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and functions
- Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-evolving environment with a willingness to embrace new challenges
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $103,100.00–$154,700.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
