The Senior Financial Analyst plays a strategic role in analyzing, planning, and managing the company’s financial performance. This individual provides in-depth financial analysis, prepares detailed management reports, and supports strategic decision-making through data-driven insights and recommendations.
This position requires strong analytical skills, a high level of accuracy, and excellent communication abilities to effectively present complex financial information to various stakeholders.
This role is contributing to the Electrification division in ABB Canada.
The work model for the role is primarily onsite.
This a 12-month maternity replacement contract
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial results and prepare accurate and insightful management reports.
- Develop annual budgets, financial forecasts, and profitability analyses to support business objectives.
- Manage standard costing processes and drive continuous improvements in cost accuracy.
- Identify financial risks and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, track, and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and provide strategic recommendations to management.
- Present financial results to stakeholders and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization, and cross-functional projects.
- Collaborate closely with operational teams to support decision-making and achieve business performance goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in financial analysis, financial planning, or controlling.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Proficiency in French is mandatory, as well as English in order to communicate effectively with internal clients and partners located outside of Quebec.
