In 2019, SkySpecs launched Horizon, a platform for SkySpecs to offer a multi-layered solution for customers that includes: data collection, wind turbine blade engineering expertise, and a place for all stakeholders to collaborate to manage and analyze massive amounts of data, spot trends, and create plans for high-cost repair campaigns. In 2021, SkySpecs acquired two companies specializing in wind turbine drivetrain monitoring and financial management, further expanding our asset management portfolio. Ultimately, this will help reduce the cost and risk of operations for the industry.
What will you be getting into?
Supporting the non-US entities (Ireland, UK, Netherlands, Austria, Denmark, Spain, Serbia, India). Focus on monthly close, statutory support, VAT/CIT packs, and audit preparation across multiple jurisdictions.
As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will:
- Prepare monthly close packs for multiple EMEA entities (TB reviews, BS recs, P&L analysis).
- Perform and document balance sheet reconciliations (cash, AR, AP, payroll, IC, tax, accruals, etc.).
- Prepare data for local auditors and outsource providers for audits and statutory financial statements.
- Prepare VAT/CIT support schedules and coordinate with local tax advisors.
- Own intercompany reconciliations for designated entities.
- Help maintain compliance calendars and ensure deadlines for filings and audits are met.
- Ensure NetSuite classes and departments are accurate for reporting.
Requirements of the job:
- 4–7 years of work experience in GL / statutory / audit support, ideally in multi-entity / multi-country environments
- Experience with IFRS / local GAAP exposure is a plus.
- Experience in Big 4 / leading audit firms is a strong advantage.
- NetSuite or other ERP experience preferred; strong Excel required.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work across multiple entities and deadlines.
Bonus Points:
- Prior experience supporting EMEA entities with hands-on exposure to country-specific statutory, VAT, and audit requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements or automation in monthly close, reconciliations, or reporting (e.g., Excel efficiencies, NetSuite optimization, or coordination with shared service centers).
- Proven stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating effectively with auditors, tax advisors, and cross-functional internal teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
