Responsibilities
- Responsible for the annual statutory audit by both external and internal auditors. Preparation of draft financial statements together of notes to disclosure for audit and statutory filing.
- Perform monthly closing covering journal processing, accrual provisions, recognition of prepayments, etc., for assigned APAC countries.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with SOX and local GAAP. Support monthly management reporting, quarterly and annual group reporting pack as required by management.
- Preparation and analyze monthly account reconciliation of each balance sheet account to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness.
- Maintain fixed assets register, recognize wear and tear of fixed assets in accordance to the company capitalization policy as well as in country tax regimes.
- Support the annual budgeting exercise and budgetary control processes.
- Computation of Corporate Taxes for year-end close.
- Able to prepare statutory account and liaise with auditors for audit
- Work closely with tax agent to ensure income tax returns are prepared and filed on a timely basis for assigned APAC countries.
- Reconcile and submission of indirect tax returns, e.g. GST/FBT/WHT Tax returns against local tax authorities.
- Support the response to government statistics survey.
- Support the implementation of corporate initiatives and drive ad-hoc projects.
- Perform other related ad-hoc duties as assigned
Qualification and Skills
- Degree in Accountancy /ACCA with 5-8 years relevant experience in financial accounting with an established multinational company
- Preferably a Chartered Accountant with prior audit experience
- Good knowledge of IFRS, China GAAP and SOX requirements
- Prior experience in Australia Taxation exposure is a plus.
- Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask and can deliver within tight deadlines
- A self-starter who is able to plan, organize and take initiative to meet job objectives and deadlines independently
- Demonstrate a high level of ownership and accountability
- Fluent in English
- Adaptive mindset, resourceful and willing to learn continuously
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (vlookup, pivot & Macros etc.), Blackline and Hyperion preferred
