Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include:
- Prepare end-of-month closing processes, including relevant journals and reconciliations
- Ensure general ledger integrity to facilitate accurate and timely financial reporting
- Lead the development and enhancement of consolidation processes and reporting for a multi-entity group
- Manage group accounts and intercompany accounts, including eliminations
- Process related party transactions and ensure reconciliation of accounts
- Develop and document accounting position papers and ensure appropriate accounting policies are applied
- Prepare annual group financial statements and supporting schedules
- Provide support during internal and external audits
- Prepare tax affect accounting journals and assist in the preparation of income tax returns
- Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve inquiries related to financial matters, providing solutions-based approaches and initiatives to future-proof financial operations and procedures
To be successful you will have:
- Possess an accounting degree and hold a CA or CPA qualification, accompanied by demonstrated post-qualification experience
- Extensive experience with consolidation processes, particularly within multi-entity environments, with international experience being beneficial but not essential
- The capability to work independently, coupled with a robust foundation in consolidation reporting and income tax
- Outstanding communication skills and a collaborative working approach, fostering effective collaboration with finance and business stakeholders
- Analytical, with a strong eye for detail and a high level of financial acumen to achieve accurate and timely reporting of group results
- Effective time management skills, the capacity to meet deadlines, and the ability to operate efficiently under time constraints in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency in accounting software systems, with a preference for experience in Netsuite
