Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant
Location: UK - Remote
Type: Fixed Term Contract- initially 6 months
About the role:
The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for Financial deliverables i.e. Financial reporting, data analysis, creditor payments etc. This role will be responsible for producing accurate Financial Reports and assisting in the short and long-term financial goals of the finance department.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis, query resolution, month-end journals, and month-end reconciliations.
- Ensure all weekly and monthly payments are processed accurately and on time.
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and provide support on ad hoc projects as required.
- Ensure intercompany loan accounts are agreed and balanced on a monthly basis.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Complete and submit VAT201s, EMP201s, EMP501s, and other statutory and compliance filings.
- Ensure a robust control environment is in place across all areas of the business and collaborate with Financial Business Services to optimise shared service transactional activities in South Africa.
- Provide guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders regarding financial information.
To be successful in the role, you will:
- Fully qualified ACA, CIMA, or ACCA, with significant experience in a similar role.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, reporting requirements, and SAP (desirable).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organisational, and time management skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and client service skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional professional ethics, integrity, and the ability to build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The guide salary for this role ranges from £42,400.00 to £53,000.00 per year. Your actual pay will be based on factors including your experience and expertise.

Skills Required
