We have a 6 months contract opportunity for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant who's ready to take ownership of complex Intercompany transactions and drive process improvement.

Join our Group Finance team and play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our external financial reporting. This is a fantastic opportunity to implement new policies and make a significant impact on our group wide accounting procedures.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

  • Review management and reconciliation processes over financial transactions occurring between our entities.
  • Produce, edit, and implement a robust and practical Group Intercompany Accounting Policy, formalising existing draft documentation.
  • Deliver improvements to the monthly intercompany process to yield minimal exceptions and differences moving forward
  • Review historical intercompany balances and differences, determine, and post corrective accounting entries.
  • Train and educate various accounting team members on the new intercompany requirements and procedures to ensure successful adoption.
  • Work extensively with our general ledgers and other finance reporting systems.

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you: 

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a financial accounting role, preferably within a medium to large business.
  • CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience leading or contributing to accounting improvement projects.
  • Experience working with General Ledger and finance reporting systems. Experience with SAP, D365, Great Plains, or similar systems is preferred but not compulsory.
  • Highly adaptable and effective when working in complex or ambiguous environments.
  • Prior experience in External Audit (ideal, but not compulsory).
  • Understanding of tax requirements and possible exposure to other company’s processes relating to intercompany reporting.
  • Have an understanding of what good looks like for intercompany processes
  • Be self initiating and willing to take the lead in seeking actions and outcomes from multiple team members across Finance
