We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant - Cloud Partnerships to join us as we build cutting-edge technology solutions! This is your opportunity to be part of a team that is committed to delivering best in class service to our customers.
In this role, you will play an essential role in managing accounting activities and supporting cloud-based business operations. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to manage complex partner deals, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to be deeply involved in high-impact projects, enhancing financial reporting processes, and collaborating with engineering and finance teams to build scalable solutions. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented financial expert who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about building processes from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, analyze, and ensure the accuracy of financial documents, such as reports, journal entries, and billing statements.
- Review accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to reporting standards and procedures.
- Document end-to-end processes at both a high level and in detail for cross-functional use, suitable for both execution teams and executive presentations.
- Conduct operational assessments to identify accounting needs, recommending and developing solutions to various business and financial challenges.
- Collect and analyze data to identify potential risks, including deficiencies in controls, inefficiencies, excessive spending, fraud, or non-compliance with regulations and policies.
- Partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Business Development, Engineering, Compliance, and other teams to foster collaboration and drive project success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related financial discipline is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
- 8-10 years of experience in financial and/or accounting roles, ideally within large corporate settings. Strong foundation in financial accounting and experience in the tech industry is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (minimum of 8 years), including power pivots, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP functions.
- Familiarity with Power BI is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Experience documenting financial processes with flowcharts, narratives, or desktop procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of financial processes within large organizations, ideally in the technology sector.
- Experience with revenue accounting and familiarity with documenting financial processes in formats suitable for operational or executive use.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on clarity and accuracy.
- Self-starter mentality, able to work independently, problem-solve effectively, and operate within an evolving, undefined environment ("white space").
Salary Range
Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $90,000 to $105,000 USD/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
