The Opportunity

We are going through a period of rapid growth and the business finance applications team is recruiting and expanding their team to meet these demands and scale for future growth. As part of a large-scale transformation programme, we are looking for an experienced and highly motivated person to join ESW as a Senior Finance Systems Business Analyst.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the process and system definition/design, identifying areas of process & data improvements, working with key stakeholders to understand their specific data requirements and developing the necessary documentation to support the team across these key activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Process Expertise:

  • Analyse and document business processes, user requirements, and data flows, identifying key timings and functional responsibilities.
  • Ability to facilitate information gathering sessions to capture key Business Requirements and challenge the business on possible alternatives to improve or automate the process.
  • Translate stakeholders' needs into actionable solutions, mapping desired outcomes and "to-be" processes against supportable technical approaches.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clarity of expectations, reducing iteration cycles and misinterpretations.
  • Continuously evaluate development requirements for feasibility, value, and alignment with desired outcomes.
  • Partner with stakeholders to prioritize activities, allocate resources, and review solution functionality against expectations.

Technical Acumen:

  • Identify and recommend optimal technology solutions for each implementation, considering automation opportunities.
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) and participate in architectural reviews, ensuring technical solutions align with strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of relevant products, systems, and procedures to support successful implementations.

Project Management & Delivery:

  • Foster a continuous improvement culture by identifying process optimization opportunities and leading re-engineering efforts.
  • Manage assigned projects and tasks, prioritizing, scheduling, and completing development and testing activities efficiently, even with overlapping deadlines.

Requirements & Desired Experience:

  • Required knowledge on Finance and Financial Systems
  • Highly analytical with strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business/Technology/Engineering or related degree
  • Minimum of 5 years’ business analysis experience across a variety of functions or domains
  • Excellent facilitation & critical analysis skills
  • Strong communication & translation of requirements skills.
  • Process and Data mapping experience
  • You should want to work in a fast-paced eCommerce business
  • Ability to influence and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent operational organisation skills
  • High level of initiative and desire to get things done
  • Willingness to introduce change and challenge existing processes and procedures
