This Position reports to:
Accounting & Reporting Manager - General AccountingYour role and responsibilities (Mandatory)
In this role,You will be working as Senior Analyst-Cost Accounting and will be reporting to Team Lead – Cost Accounting and will be a part of Bangalore, India. In this role you will be primarily responsible for leading a group or team focused on the complete, accurate, and timely completion of Fixed Assets Accounting & Reporting and related activities within the General Accounting (GA) team. Ensure compliance with internal guidelines and procedures as well as external regulatory requirements.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Performing general accounting activities and recording financial transactions.
- Conducting investigations and reconciliations of accounts as necessary for any discrepancies.
- Executing accounting analyses and reports in support of finance and business leaders.
- Producing reports, statement of accounts, reconciliations, statements of sourcing
- Month end book closing activities
- Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business.
- Basic Knowledge of Result Analysis on Sales & Distribution, CRM Orders, Projects, Material master modules in SAP.
- Basic Knowledge on Over Head rates calculation and Inventory accounting process.
- Develop, monitor, and manage secondary cost elements in cost accounting systems.
- Ensure accurate assignment and allocation of costs to appropriate cost elements.
- Cost Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze regular and ad-hoc cost reports, highlighting trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization.
- Cost Management Reorganization: Lead the reorganization of cost elements, cost centers, and cost structures to align with new business models or organizational changes.
Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)
- A Bachelor’s / Master degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
- For experienced Analysts; we are looking forward to 3 to 5 years’ experience on SAP
- Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Secondary Cost Element Management
- Ability to work with diverse teams across different countries.
- Problem solving skills
