Fiber Foodservice Europe-Asia-Oceania (EAO) business segment offers high quality molded fiber and paperboard packaging for fresh food and beverages across Europe, Asia, Oceania, Middle East and Africa. We serve quick service and fast casual restaurants, coffee shops and vending operators as well as egg, fruit and vegetable producers. The segment has a turnover of €1.3 billion (2021). The business has about 6,600 employees and 34 manufacturing sites across Europe, Asia, Oceania, Middle East and Africa.

SENIOR FINANCE MANAGER, DACH & BENELUX, FIBER FOODSERVICE EAO

We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Manager to lead our finance and controlling functions in our DACH & Benelux Market Unit, with Manufacturing Sites in Franeker, the Netherlands and Alf, Germany.

The role reports to Head of Finance Europe (solid line) and to General Manager, DACH & Benelux (dotted line), is based in one of our Manufacturing Sites in the Netherlands or Germany (preferably).
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The purpose of the role is to drive and manage all financial activities and reporting in the Market Unit, including Management Accounting and Statutory Reporting, supporting the delivery of the business results.

· As a member of the Market Unit management team, developing and coordinating business plans and forecasts in line with business needs

· Driving operational performance improvements across the business and functions

· Planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the finance activities and reporting for the Market Unit with Finance teams in the Manufacturing Sites

· Managing the budget planning process for the Market Unit to ensure robust targets/KPIs and objectives are in place

· Providing timely, accurate and relevant financial information, reporting and analysis to the key business users and decision makers that assist them in optimizing performance and results

· Owning and driving working capital minimization ensuring optimization of inventory, receivables, debts, payables, and capital projects to maximize return on investment and maximize the cash flow

· Establishing robust internal controls to protect corporate assets and to achieve targeted return on capital projects

· Leading reviews to control the business from operations and sales perspective

· Managing financial processes and procedures ensuring data accuracy and integrity

· Ensuring that the findings on internal audit reports are managed and non-compliance issues are corrected to meet legal, statutory requirement and appropriate process improvements are in place

· Developing and managing best practice internal controls in line with Group policies

· Maintaining standard and other costing system, analysis and providing cost data for use in assessing manufacturing performance and pricing decisions in supporting the achievement of the business goals

· Supporting relevant IT system and other process improvement projects for the Market Unit and Segment

· Leading the finance teams in the Market Unit ensuring resourcing, performance, development, and engagement

· Developing the finance function by facilitating change, improvement, and financial awareness throughout the entire organization

· Ensuring the business meets its business and legal duties and compliance withing the local legislation and within the guidelines of the Huhtamaki Group

· Building a high-performance culture grounded in the company values Care, Dare and Deliver

· Ensuring that Huhtamaki values, ethical standards and legal compliance is followed and adhered to across whole organization and in all activities, and the company's interests are protected

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS AND QUALIFICATIONS

This role requires strong functional skills and experience, well as leadership and change management skills. The role works closely with the teams in the Market Unit and Manufacturing Sites, and in close collaboration with Cluster and Group functions to achieve our strategic goals.

· A tertiary qualification in accounting, economics, or business administration (or similar)

· A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant functional experience

· Experience in FMCG or Foodservice manufacturing, supply chain and commercial practices and principles

· Previous experience in successfully leading transformation and change

· Ability to effectively manage complex projects with scale, scope and priorities

· Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, comfortable working in a matrix environment with strong stakeholder management skills

· Proven track record of leading and engaging people and developing high-performing teams

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills

· Proven track record of achieving results, delivering on plans, and implementing sustainable strategies leading to improved organizational performance

· Proactiveness to continuously finding solutions to various challenges, improving our ways of working

· Ability to analyze data and details and developing insights supporting business decisions

· Alignment with Huhtamaki’s values and passion for caring about food, people and the planet
