Overview

As the business partner to Operations and Supply Chain organization, this individual contributor role is global and interacts with a wide range of leaders to drive the optimum business performance for the Mitel UC business. This includes strategy, forecasting, budgeting, and performance results related to product costs and our repair business.

Responsibilities

  • Support the monthly close process and annual audits with the accounting team, working as the interface between Operations and Finance/Accounting

  • Dive deep into COGS, providing the Operations team with meaningful monthly reporting and ad-hoc financial analysis of different changes that may arise in the supply chain

  • Partner with PLM to understand the impact of supply chain decisions on product margins

  • Work cross-functionally with Finance, Sales Operations, Product Operations and PLM to enhance the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process

  • Develops and implements annual operating plan and quarterly forecasts to accurately reflect current expectations of the business. This individual will monitor performance to ensure plan commitments are met and advise management on any actions needed to address identified risks and opportunities to their business plans.

  • Finance ownership of the Excess & Obsolescence (E&O) and warranty provisions

  • Assist the supply chain team with annual standard cost process

  • Continuously look to increase efficiency through process automation

  • Ad hoc analysis and reports, as required per business needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration or Accounting

  • MBA or accounting designation (CMA/CPA) highly preferred

  • 7+ years of experience in FP&A or combination of financial positions that include FP&A

  • Prior experience with supply chain or product financial support required

  • Highly proficient in MS Excel and Powerpoint with experience building and managing complex financial models.

  • Ability to work with large and disparate data sets from multiple sources/systems and simplify the information for intended purpose

  • Must be able to build relationships across functions and be influential to achieve results based on data and facts

  • Demonstrated capability to write and create presentations at an executive level

  • Ability to act as a business partner to the head of Product Operations and influence the decisions as it relates to financial impacts and business performance

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently while meeting deliverables under tight time constraints. Role requires the individual to think strategically but be able to operate in the data
